    1897 SUTRO BATHS MAMMOTH OPENING BROADSIDE POSTER
    Rare antique paper broadside printed poster or flier measuring 10-3/4" tall by 5-5/8" wide. Advertising MAMMOTH OPENING of the SWIMMING SEASON at SUTRO BATHS on Sunday, April 18, 1897, with promotional for Charles Cavill and assorted offerings, including rates as shown. The baths were opened in 1896 as the world's largest indoor swimming establishment on the Western side of San Francisco, California. Broadside poster is printed on very thin cream toned paper by printing company Louis Roesch.
    Condition is very nice with no fading - printing is crisp - minor toning around the edges and a few soiling marks - none of this detracts. I always planned on framing this since it is such a fragile and rare original piece of Sutro Bath advertising - just never did - hoping someone will add it to their collection or display!
