1920's 9" GE BRASS BLADES Antique General Electric Whiz Model ! Works Quietly.

Beautiful working desktop fan made by GE with a strange name, Whiz for the model designation. Runs smoothly and quietly. It has a 9 1/2 in diameter frame it has a five and a half inch diameter base footprint, it weighs 7 lb. It is in great condition. From what I've learned about these fans it seems that the screws that hold the cage to the body get messed up and come loose and don't screw down again. But in this case we have solved the problem by having the holes rethreaded and new screws replace the old ones. This is where the term refurbished comes in. Perhaps these screws go bad by people lifting the fan by the cage over the years. Possibly. Don't do that! Anyway the cage is undamaged. The fan has good wiring perhaps it's the original... I'm pretty sure it has the original snap on/off switch. Overall the brass blades are in very nice shiny condition,  it has a nice brass GE button on the back and a brass grease cup which you might want to add some grease to at regular intervals once a year maybe. This thing is a good investment because it will probably run forever. To say nothing of the fact that they look very very cool. There are some light nicks in the original paint on the motor body and the base consistent with use and age. And if nobody wants it I'll be just happy to keep it myself thank you kindly. You will not be disappointed!
