    Description

    1930's Rare Antique 8" 2-Blade Electric Fan
    Barber-Colman Company, Rockford, Illinois
    Description:
Working antique 8" 2-blade electric fan with black cast iron base.
The base pivots up and down, but does not circulate.
There's no on/off button or switch. Plugin and unplug to turn on/off.
Text on the base bottom reads as follows:
    U.S. PAT NUMBERS 1822679 D-83829 105-120V 50-60 OY. A.C. ONLY
    Measurements:
    9 1/2" tall, 9" wide, 8" blade, 4 1/4" base diameter
The original electric cord is 4 foot 7 inches long.
    Condition:
One of the blades has a small nick.
The case iron shows normal wear for the age, but with no signs of rust.
The cord cloth covering is frayed in places, but with no exposed wiring.
The metal wired covering does not offer any protection from the spinning blade. Safety clearly wasn't a consideration back when it was made.
The Barcol tag on the center of the fan blade is missing.
Guaranteed not to be DOA otherwise sold as is.
Purchase with confidence from a 20+ year eBay buyer/seller with 100% positive feedback.
