Description
From a recent estate sale, here's a vintage SIGNAL 12" oscillating 3-speed electric fan. Features an aluminum bladed propeller, a squiggly Deco-styled zinc (?) cage,a handy lift handle and can tilt nearly 90 degrees straight up
.
Made by the Signal Electric Mfg. Co., Menominee, Michigan, circa late 1930s.
Amazing condition and works perfectly! Runs smoothly and really moves the air on all 3 speeds. Unrestored, all original (except AC cord). Some minor surface rust at base edge and plate; missing one little set screw at base (see photos).
Very clean machine! Built for a lifetime or two, or maybe three!
Well marked with plate that reads: Signal Motor, Model 350A, Serial No. G37679, Current AC, Watts 70, Volts 115, Cycle 60. Overall dimensions are about 13" wide x 16" tall x 10" deep and weighs a hefty 17 pounds.
