Offering for sale...an Antique and Vintage DOMINION Modern Mode Electric Heater, style 550, 660 watts, volts 110/120, Dominion Elec. Mfg, Co., Minneapolis Minn MN (no date on heater but looks to be 1900’s to late 1940’s) with a UFO flying saucer and retro futuristic appeal. Working Eagle Coil Heater that screws into a light socket bulb holder...heats up quickly with no fan, just radiant heat. Chrome housing behind heater coil is in VERY nice condition with a few spots of pitting...see photos...unit has adjustable angle for specified heating angle. Please note...the shiny chrome is hard to capture in a photos and therefore the photos do not do justice to the deco appearance of this collectible heater. Art Deco design on shiny chrome surrounds the heater and has very minimal pitting. The heavy green base is that of cast iron and has some surface rust as seen in photos...does not distract from the Art Deco design on base....easy to repaint as well as the back of heater where it has some small spots of paint loss as seen in photos. Cord is original and working, but I would recommend replacement for safety. Heater could use a deep cleaning even though I did lightly clean. Back bracket that holds socket heater is missing 1 tiny screw but 1 is intact and holds socket well. Unique black handle on top back of heater is perfect for easy moving from room to room. This unique heater will fit into any decor be it industrial, rustic cabin, antique, vintage, Art Deco, retro, eclectic, country farmhouse, atomic or abstract, streamline, Mid Century Modern or Eames Era, architectural or primitive....similar to the quality of the antique Arvin Heater.
