Antique (early 1900s) brass blade GE variable speed fan that still works! As far as I can tell it has not be worked on previously. It has been sitting unused in an antique collection. I am not a fan expert but one person suggested this may be a 1922 by looking at the catalog number. The size, blades, cage, the way the wire wraps the cage and the fan back fit the early 1908’s time period in the information I could find. I did not polish the brass so it does appear dark in the photos. I cleaned the dust off of everything and plugged it in - it runs very smoothly and quietly and moves quite a bit of air. It does have variable speeds. I did not want to do anything to change its appearance except to clean off the dust. I’m sure it could do with some oil after sitting for many years - but I’ll leave that to you. The cord does have some age related wear where it attaches to the fan.
