Description

Gorgeous! Grindley & Co. brown transfer ware platter in the popular "Spring" pattern,
c.1880-1891.
Measures: 14"L x 10"W x 1 1/2"H
Marks: Printed mark incorporating globe and steamer boat, "23 Rd, Spring, W.H. Grindley & Co. Tunstall, 51058", also impressed mark "55".
Condition:  Light utensil marks, some mild discoloration and crazing. Mildly depressed area under one corner which may be a manufacturer fault (@ 1/2" x 1/4"), not noticeable or
affecting use in any way. Note: last image, the dark line at corner is part of the transfer pattern). Couple tiny rough spots on rim.
