    Description

The Name F.A. SMITH MFG. CO. of Rochester, New York
was Used on Fans from 1933 to 1948.
1948 the Name Changed to FASCO.
This is an old but nice Antique Desk Fan. I turned it on it
works fine but It needs some intenal cleaning of Dust on the motor
it stopped working & It went back on and
    started osculating and stopped.
I could not get it to osculate again so it stopped and is pointing to the left.
Then I got it to work all
3 speeds working very strong very powerful fan"
and quite too. But if you move it around enough it may stop again" May not?
It should work when you get it out of the box. I Don't know that it is
reliable as a good working fan. I believe it needs to be taken apart and cleaned
perhaps lubricated. And it would be a great working fan.
It's old inside and dirty. Maybe gummed up.
Someone who is good with electric gizmos repair could give this
a going over, and I believe you would have a great old fan.
"1940's is 80 plus years ago"
The fact it work's is amazing to me.
Old stuff was built right. Like old TV's and reel to reel players..
Thank you. This It's a great looking fan to have in a Den or Home office.
It looks pretty amazing in any room. Like from an old movie"
    Thank you
