Vintage 1896 Swedish Mauser FJ AB Anchor Crown Bayonet w/Scabbard & Leather

Description

This is a Vintage 1896 Swedish Mauser FJ AB Anchor Crown Bayonet with a Metal Scabbard and Leather Belt Attachment.
Features:
1.  8" Carbon Steel Blade
2.  13" overall length
3.  Tang is stamped with "FJ AB 929" with an anchor in the middle on one side and a crown on the other side
4.  The handle is metal and shows some darkening common to carbon steel but no damage (see photos)

The scabbard supplied with this bayonet is believed to be the original, it shows some wear but no dents - the scabbard upper area is covered by a leather belt attachment that shows use but no damage - the top leather strap that holds the top of the bayonet in place is in good working condition
6.  The locking mechanism to attach it to a rifle seems to be in undamaged condition, but we were not able to test it on an actual rifle; so the bayonet is offered "as is" and in the case the bayonet would need some repair to actually lock into place on a rifle would be for the new owner to accomplish at no cost to the seller
7.  The blade edge may or may not have been sharpened; but if so it was not damaged in the process (see photos)
Note: The bayonet has been wiped down with a clean, soft, dry cloth only and we did not attempt to remove any patina, cleaning will be left to the purchaser.  The bayonet has been handled and stored for some time, but the blade looks like it has not been abused.  Any defects we noticed were listed, but we do not assign a level of condition.  You must see all of the photos which are considered a part of this description (use the eBay zoom-in tool), and make your own decision regarding blade, handle, and scabbard conditions; ask questions for anything you see or don't see before you decide to purchase the bayonet, because once shipped, the bayonet cannot be returned or refunded.
