Vintage Wizard 10" Electric Fan [One Speed] in Exceptional Condition
This beautiful fan is in marvelous condition. It works well, with a small amount of noise on start-up. An occasional drop of sewing machine oil on the spindle helps to keep it quiet. It still has its original wiring. It powers on and off by means of a small knob that turns in one direction on the back of the housing. It measures 13-3/4" tall x 11-1/2" wide x 8-1/2" deep. It is very clean with only a couple of minor chips on the deep red paint. The bottom is marked: Wizard Model 1005R-60 Cycle, Bersted Mfg.; 105-120V - 55W; Fostoria Ohio; Oakville, Ont. Canada. It has a keyhole on the bottom that can be used to hang it on the wall. The head swivels and tilts, but I have found the wing nut used to tighten it so it doesn't move does not completely do the job. It would probably benefit from using a spring washer to help the wing nut tighten. I just never got around to finding one.
This is one of those mid-century pieces that would look great as just a visual accent, but also can be used as a working piece. I have used it in my kitchen to move air for a number of years without issue. You don't find them like this very often.
I will carefully package and ship this using the most economical method.
