    Description
    WWI commemorative circular plastic-coated pressed tinplate metal badge with a celluloid face and a pin attachment on the reverse. This Australian Navy Recruitment Pin Back Badge depicts a British galleon , presumably the HMS Victory , in brown on a blue ocean, with head & shoulders portrait of a man , presumably Admiral Horatio Nelson,  in blue & white above, white border edged in brown. Inscriptions: "OCTOBER NELSON'S DAY ADELAIDE 1917 / ENGLAND EXPECTS'' (in blue around edge).
