Description
A very hard to find WWI Australian Lithgow P1907 bayonet with a 1944 Mangrovite Scabbard. Designed for the Enfield No1 Mk1, this would make a wonderful addition to your collection. The 16 6/8" blade shows heavy signs of oxidation of which I made no attempt to clean. Visible markings on the ricasso are "44" on one side and "X" with an "OA" on the other. The leather scabbard marked "Mangrovite 44" shows oxidation to the metal tip but the leather is in good shape. The wooden grip is solid but what looks like a quick field fix, a square nut was added to replace the original round factory nut. Please view pictures for quality and condition to make sure this fits or needs before buying.
